In this photo I cropped it around her upper body to focus on her expression. I also increased the brightness and contrast to create a pop of color in the background. The vignette around the border was added to emphasize her expression despite the colorful backdrop. My subject is showing thoughtfulness and a bit of hidden sadness. She is showing this trait by the expression on her face and her downcast eyes. The challenging thing about working with a model is that everyone has different personalities. What I would do better next time is to not be afraid to get up close or talk to the subject.
